Since 1968, the CPO Jacket has been a staple of the Nantucket wardrobe—serving as a practical, more relaxed alternative to a traditional sports coat. The name “CPO,” short for Chief Petty Officer, references the jacket’s origin, inspired by the durable wool overshirts worn by naval officers. Designed to layer easily over a sweater, it offers a polished look without feeling overly formal.

Hand-tailored using our handwoven Ivory Tweed produced in our Main Street studio, this ready-to-wear CPO Jacket introduces a modern update to the classic silhouette with its cropped Mandarin collar. Gray buttons and front pockets add practicality for everyday wear, while the "Loden" Liberty of London lining adds a feminine touch with pastel hues. This piece is sized extra-small and, like all of our jackets, is one-of-a-kind.
