Windswept Ivory Handwoven Multi-Fiber Throw

A beautiful blend of Mohair, Silk, and Cotton, the Windswept Throw is inspired by winter walks in the fog veiled, sweeping conservation lands. Woven in a plain weave structure, various shades of ivory, taupe, and gray create muted contrasting stripes throughout. 

Handwoven in our Main Street studio, each throw reflects expert craftsmanship, with every detail—down to the hand-knotted tassels—meticulously crafted by our skilled island weavers. Designed for lasting comfort and quality, this throw is a timeless addition to any home.

For a simple refresh, a little time in the fresh air will breathe new life into your beloved throw. Mohair has a natural wicking, protecting the fiber from moisture and other elements and allowing air to breathe through. Leave your throw draped on a clothesline for an afternoon and enjoy a refluffled & revived blanket.

Crafted by hand from start to finish in our Main Street weaving studio.

Our masterful artisans begin by thoughtfully selecting colors and fibers inspired by our surrounding landscape, then determine a pattern and desired weave structure for their design.

Next, they wind the fiber onto bobbins then wind the loom’s warp, a meticulously calculated process that sets the path of each and every thread used. These threads are manually connected to specific harnesses and securely hand-tied to “dress the loom”. Once this stage is complete, they can begin to weave.

Countless passes of the shuttle commence, rhythmic, muted sounds of wooden pedals fill the studio, and a beautiful textile begins to emerge. The handwoven process continues until the piece reaches its full length, at which point it is cut from the loom. Tassels are hand-knotted onto the ends, and a small label is hand-sewn onto the textile as the weaver’s final touch.

Most purchases are shipped to arrive within 5 to 7 business days of receipt of the order.

All orders from our inventory are shipped via UPS Ground. Furniture & Area Rug orders will be drop-shipped by our partners.

Expedited Shipping:
All orders placed before 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the same day. Orders placed after 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the morning of the next business day. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or holidays will be shipped the next business day.

This item is available for free on-island delivery & curbside pickup. 

Returns & Exchanges: 
If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly offer you an exchange or refund of the merchandise price within 30 days of receipt of product. To begin a return, please email us at returns@nantucketlooms.com to request a return label and state your reason for returning. The cost of shipping will be deducted from the amount of your refund. Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable, unless the item received is incorrect or damaged.
