The Buoy Blue Alpaca Throw is a take on the classic ticking stripe pattern incorporating a range of blue colors woven with an ivory-colored warp. 

Our alpaca throw is made from 100% Peruvian alpaca and offers unparalleled softness and hypoallergenic properties. Naturally insulating, its microscopic air pockets regulate temperature, keeping you cool on warm days and cozy on cooler nights—an effortless blend of luxury and function. Handwoven in our Main Street studio, this throw embodies expert craftsmanship, from its soft, durable weave to its hand-knotted tassels.

Crafted by hand from start to finish in our Main Street weaving studio.

Our masterful artisans begin by thoughtfully selecting colors and fibers inspired by our surrounding landscape, then determine a pattern and desired weave structure for their design.

Next they wind the fiber onto bobbins then wind the loom’s warp, a meticulously calculated process that sets the path of each and every thread used. These threads are manually connected to specific harnesses and securely hand-tied to “dress the loom.” Once this stage is complete, they can begin to weave.

Countless passes of the shuttle commence, rhythmic, muted sounds of wooden pedals fill the studio and a beautiful textile begins to emerge. The handwoven process continues until the piece reaches its full length, at which point it is cut from the loom. Tassels are hand-knotted onto the ends, and a small label is hand-sewn onto the textile as the weaver’s final touch.

Most purchases are shipped to arrive within 5 to 7 business days of receipt of the order.

Expedited Shipping:
All orders placed before 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the same day. Orders placed after 12pm Monday-Friday will be shipped out the morning of the next business day. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or holidays will be shipped the next business day.
